Polish History in English

The History of Poland in English is a specially designed course that teaches students about the most significant events and processes that have shaped Poland over the centuries. It consists of four thematic blocks: the Middle Ages, modern times, Polish lands in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and Poland in the 20th century, providing a solid foundation of knowledge. Key topics, including the establishment of the Polish state, its fragmentation, noble democracy, the partitions, and the regaining of independence, are thoroughly explained. A special component of the course is the history of Polish emigration to the United States.

The course was created in response to the interest and demand from the American Polish community in learning about the history of their ancestors’ country.
